*Instruments of the “violin" family possess sounds of perfection and are the most legendary musical instruments in Western music history. This project builds on the results of its first two phases, selecting the best German, English, and French violins in the collection of the Chimei Museum, along with digitized results from the National Palace Museum’s 2009 exhibit, “The Legend of the Italian Violin: An Exhibition of the Chimei Museum’s Violin Collection,” for digitization and online exhibition. The project team is comprised of professionals in the fields of music, information science, digital design, and cultural publishing, moreover, the project itself strives to present the diversity of the world-class musical assets found only in Taiwan.
